I am a new convert from DirecTV. My Hopper 3 was installed last Saturday. Unfortunately the timers are driving me nuts. Using the NEW AND RERUN option I tried to record a string of NCIS programs Sunday afternoon on USA for my wife. I assumed each individual program would appear separately somewhere and be available to watch. However it looks to me like the H3 tried to lump them together and I cannot figure out how to separate them.

When I tried to play one on the NCIS programs that the Episode file reports did record I got "ERROR CODE: O4" Problem Opening Files as referenced in another thread here. Getting nowhere I deleted the files that would not open and will start over using your suggestions.

Is this something a Dish tech could talk me through before I pull out the little bit of hair I have left?

All responses greatly appreciated.

Jon

Dish receivers group episodes of the same program under a common icon. The number of episodes is indicated in a small circle in one corner of the icon. Selecting that icon should open to a list of episodes, then selecting them should allow you to play that specific episode either from the beginning or resume where you left off. A delete option is available.

You should not be getting errors when selecting an icon with multiple episodes or specific episodes in side the show icon.

You might try resetting the H3: red button behind the door, or pull the plug for 10 or more seconds.
