hey folks, nice forum. my dad got a new lcd tv today. i thought it would be a snap to pull the old tv out & slide the new tv in. the old one was connected with coax, so i swithced this first with the s-tv cable, which only gave a black & white picture? huh? so, i resorted to lower quality rca connections from dish box to dvd/vcr box to lcd. this works, however now the dish remote does NOT work? huh? changed the batteries. it seems to partially work, but not fully. huh? now i look like a total dunce (maybe i am) i didn't do anything to the damn dish box that i know of. we reset it, still failing. is there something that i just don't see here. thanks & have a great weekend all.
