HELL computers are junk and customer service is even worseThis doesn't change my position. I still think most Dell computers are junk.
These exercises in "cost is no object" builds doesn't apply to anyone I know.

i did alot of research using AI. the one thing that it left out was the hyper card for the gen 5 drive!!! even went to pc partspicker and built it there and even to manufactures websites. they all said it would work!!! all i knew is that i wanted a balls to the wall pcFWIW I built my last computer with ChatGPT. Talking through the components, getting comparisons and opinions based on what I wanted to do with it, because I was doing things I hadn't before (it was a mini PC pre-built, that I wanted to run dedicated game servers and home assistant on).
It was a really neat experience. Could find new things, and toss it in the mix and hash out what was good/bad based on what I wanted to do, the difference in the Intel / AMD processors in my options, etc.
Can't recommend it enough, ask AI the next time you want to upgrade / add on / build something.
Doesn't the Asus mainboard come with a card?the one thing that it left out was the hyper card for the gen 5 drive!!!
yes it does and it's the only way to get gen 5 speeds from a gen 5 m.2Doesn't the Asus mainboard come with a card?
This points to the folly of trusting AI over RTFM. In the specs page of TFM (page vii), it is clear that the ROG Hyper m.2 card is required for Gen5.yes it does and it's the only way to get gen 5 speeds from a gen 5 m.2
for my board yes they hypercard is needed for gen 5 speeds. i am not sure about the dark hero though!!! i would never trust AI i think 90% is horse sh*t nor would trust certain websites since they didn't mention the hyper card!!!This points to the folly of trusting AI over RTFM. The more recent X87n and Z88m mainboards all come with three onboard Gen5 slots. It is possible that AI doesn't yet know about the newer mainboards.
