Need Newest Firmware for the Sathawk HD-800 PVR

I noticed while recording a program that the recording time screen stays up the entire time I am recording, which kind of makes it a PITA. I remember reading a week ago that new firmware was released that fixed the recording screen and added some more DVR functions. If anyone has this file or a link to it, please let me know, thanks.

Only new firmware I know of, is for the OpenSat S9
I don't know if it's compatible with the Solomend / Sathawk

The Opensat software from 8-31-2010 is working fine on my Sathawk. They released new software yesterday, but I haven't loaded it yet. I don't know that these versions improve the PVR function, 'cause I don't use it. The big problem with this stuff is that there is no responsible mfg, providing this software and standing behind it. Who knows where it comes from. It's caveat emptor , all the way.

I don't know the answer to that. One of the sellers of the Solomend/Openbox is Hypermegasat. There is a forum there that contains factory firmware for various receivers.

If you push the Exit button, the recording banner goes away and you're left with a small "*REC" icon in the upper right corner. As far as I know, it's been that way forever.

Ok, thanks, I can live with that. As long as it doesnt show up in the recording...
