Need some help changes cables

Just made the switch from Cable to Dish today and so far things seem to be going well. I have one TV with a 612 and the other with a 211. The 211 seems to be a little choppy with some channels. After doing some research, it seems this can be an issue with using HDMI on some machines. I also have component cables set up so I wanted to test that to see if there is an issue with HDMI. But I can't seem to figure out how to configure the box to send the signal through component and not HDMI. Is there a setting in the menu screen somewhere to change this? I greatly appreciate any help. By the way, the 612 box seems great with no choppiness at all.

Duh! I just realized they were unplugged. Thanks for the reminder to check the most simple of things. And thanks for the welcome. I'm sure I will be here often in the days to come.
