Networking with the PS3 Slim

I Finally got my Month old PS3 slim to recognize something other than my DirecTv box... but it only finds some files and 1 pc using TVersity... (free version, latest sw version) any ideas?

If you're using Windows Media Player, you need to be on WMP11... and you need to have file sharing enabled on that as well as on your network settings on the PC itself. As long as the settings on your router are right, that should be all you need...

PS3 Media Server will transcode any files that Tversity/PS3 don't natively support (like MKV).

It's kinda nice, you just set it up, and from your PS3 you just end up browsing through your entire computer.

I use that one as well. It works great.

Thanks... installing PS3 Media Server now...

I have found that PS3 Media Server will sometimes say it didn't see the PS3, but then I search for media servers on the PS3 and it sees it.

Thanks, it didn't see it and I didn't want to fire up the Bedroom FPTV to check...
