Been away from dish for a few years and am starting back up with a new 722k and a 1000.2 dish. I know you can't run 2 receivers off of a single coax, so how can you run a dual tuner with one? It came with a separator but is there any advantage to just run 2 lines from the dish? Thanks

There is no advantage to a separate line. That's OLD technology.

What would be neat is if they came out with the ability to feed multiple receivers with 1 line.

Thats what the separator is for it works kind of like a switch. It takes one line coming from sat and splits or separates the signals for 2 tuner inputs.Save the other ports on the lnb in case you add a receiver in the future.
