yeah, the SMART thing for ebay to do is if an aution is bid in the last 5 minutes, extend for 15 min more. Each and every time, till the bidding is exhaused. It'll put an end to that sniping crap...

I usually wait til about 5 or 10 seconds before the auction ends. I don't use sniping software cuz half of the fun is seeing if I can get it down to the last few seconds.

I have won and lost even in the last moments.

I think Ubid extends the auction a few more minutes if you bid in the last minute. At least they used to.
