New DIRECTV Satellite pricing

If this is old forgive me, I looked and can't find it. Only found info on DIRECTV Stream price increases.

But here is the DIRECTV Satellite Price Increases.

It's not old. I got the email on Tuesday. I did assume the same streaming price increase was coming to satellite.

With this and ESPN gone, it makes the decision to cancel a lot easier.

I believe it would satisfy many customers if DTV would make the RSN fee optional in the same way that the locals are now. The only sports I am interested in are games at my local universities which are seldom on TV.

make the RSN fee optional as the only packages that don't have it are the extra all included prefered i think and the entertainment. get rid of the advanced receiver fee. it's 2024 HD should be the standard going forward no one should be charging for it in this day in age!!! stop charging lease fees for crap that people don't own as there junk fee's in my book. unless the customer breaks a device on purpose..

No, those packages are still available. Logging into my account they give me an option to switch to Select and Xtra along with the other packages, but you have to call or use the chat if you want Family or Preferred Xtra or one of the international base packages.

Funny the only packages on my online acct are the extra choice ultimate and premier packages. I'll take it that one needs to know about the other packages!!!

I really liked DTV but the bill was $126 a month and that's over $1500 a year. I called and cancelled and said if you guys can't lower it to under $100 then I'm cancelling . They couldn't do that so I did. It's ridiculous bc they need to lower the price down.

Basic Choice and Preferred Choice are special base packages that are only available to World Direct customers who also subscribe to one of the expensive international packages. So even if you could switch to Preferred Choice, you wouldn't save anything compared to Select as you would need to purchase another international package on top of that, which goes anywhere from $10-$50 depending on the language.

Basic Choice is just the pay to play and P/I obligation channels, Preferred Choice has a few additional channels similar to what you would have gotten with expanded basic on cable in the early 90s. You can see the lineup on the second to last page.

Not yet. I think I will once HBO goes dark (have it via AT&T wireless).

I thought I was going to lose the MAX discount and possibly the $25 a month AT&T wireless credit, but my latest bill still has these credits.

Whenever they fall off from the separation of AT&T from TPG we are lowering our AT&T unlimited cellular plan.
