New fan for 612

Can anyone recommend a new internal fan for a leased VIP612?
Model #, link, specs for unit that will work.

Heard horrible noise a few days ago. Thought it was the hard drive.
Removed cover. Blew out dust. Discovered fan dead. Plugged 612 back in, worked fine, a couple days later got the overheat screen warning.
Unplugged. Let cool overnight, plugged back in, worked fine with access to all my recordings, fan not working.
Waiting for overheat warning again.

Would like to install fan myself to save recordings.

Leased? I wouldn’t do it. Offload your programs to an EHD and have Dish replace the unit. Consider a Hopper 3.

They may one day try to charge you if they see a modification you made.

They don't even want them back! If he calls, they'll want to sell him on a Hopper. A $10 fan is much less hassle.

Yup. I turned in two leased 612's (which were working great by the way) when I upgraded to a Hopper 3. The tech said they're going to the scrap heap.

Exactly. Why spend more $ when these boxes work fine. 722/612 for 2 TVs
One TV is still an SD CRT too.

Link had just what I was looking for. All the specs for 612 factory fan.
Factory fan specs indicate 20 cfm @ 4000rpm , 60 x 60 x 25mm.

Ordered this unit which has 17 cfm @ 3000rpm.

Can't get 129, 72, or 77.

Does wired joey have SD outputs.

You can have a Hopper/Joey with split arc. It would need a 42 switch to accommodate the hybrid configuration needed. The Joeys have both HDMI and composite (red, white, yellow) outputs.

I don't know if you're aware of this policy, but Dish does not allow anything on a Hopper account other than Joeys, Wallys, and 211-class VIP receivers. No 612's.
