I just came across this article and my first thought was, if they bring this to market and it's not too expensive is might make an ideal coating for dishes to make ice/snow removal easier.

Self-healing waterproof coating stays dry for the long term

I hate it when you get a heavy, slushy snow that then freezes on the dish and is nearly impossible to remove, so anything that would prevent that stuff from sticking would be good, provided it's reasonably priced and doesn't have to be reapplied frequently.

I was looking at a 2 part spray on clearcoat made by 3m that nothing will stick to. Only downside is it wears off over time.
