New H23 Receiver local HD questions

Hi,
Hope someone here can help me with this problem.
I finally got around to upgrading my old H10 receivers with the new H23.
Unfortunately there is no ATSC tuner in these like my old H10.We do not have HD
locals from Directv here in Roanoke/Lynchburg VA market. I purchased one of the
AM-21 add on tuners on eBay hoping to use it for locals but evidently this will not work with the H23 receiver.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

I believe that the AM21 only works with the HR2x series of DVR receivers. It has been reported that the H2x series may get an update to allow AM21 use.

Although not a participant in the "Cutting Edge" program, I have been following the threads there about contents of the CE releases. H23 support for the AM-21 has been listed as a capability since January. One would hope that the next National Release firmware would have this capability.

Have you tried this recently? The 29-July firmware release was supposed to add AM-21 support.
