Within the last week we have switched to the hopper with 2 joeys. With the package we have, we have always had Sirius channels. We had no problem using them with the old receivers. Now since switching, we can see all the Sirius channels, but none of them have sound. Are we doing something wrong? How can I fix this? We use this all the time and really miss this!

It may be one of those "72 hours" deal for the software. I can't see how it would be, but that is another story. It should operate as a channel. What channel numbers are you going for Sirius?

We've had the hopper now for 10ish days...so I hope we're passed the 72 hours software thing? (Side note the sound does work on the 2 Joeys we have) We are trying the channel 99- none of those have sound, as well as using the blue app button, sirius xm, shortcut. still no sound. Also the promo christmas ones on 90-00 etc have no sound. It is only those channels as far as we can tell. The hopper is connected through a pioneer receiver to a panasonic TV and none of the connections changed in the changeover.... We tried going into audio settings, but couldn't find anything that worked still...stumped!
*Editing - it looks like none of the regular Dish Music channels have sound either

And now I feel silly because after changing through inputs on the reciever , changing nothing, came back to the same input and now it works. Why? but it is now working... sorry for the disruption. sigh.

Could be because these channels are not in Dolby Digital like most of your satellite channels and the AV receiver might have just had a hiccup with the pcm digital for some odd reason.

It is on DD and PCM. It was just a run through of the channels on the receiver made it recognize it... as you'll said some sort of digital hiccup, and it picked up the signal (thankfully!) thanks for your help!

The recommendations to change DVR audio settings are ill-advised. This is a long-standing bug in the Hopper firmware. I use the jump button to work around it.

This also happens with the DISH (Muzak) music channels.
