Getting a new HD install and have a few questions.

(It's 2 receiver install....one HD DVR and one SD DVR)

How many lines come from the HD sat into the house?
Is there a multiswitch the lines from the sat feed in to?
If there is a multiswitch, does it need to be plugged in?

This might be a longshot, but does anyone know if the slimline dish points in the same direction as the DISH Network HD dish?

The Slimline has 4 outputs on it (there is a built-in multiswitch in the Slimline), and each receiver will need 2 lines run to it for full functionality, so all four lines should be brought into the house. Since you will only need 4 lines, you don't need an external multiswitch (I have the same setup and don't have an external switch) and the lines can be run directly from the dish to each receiver. BUT if you think you'll need more receivers someday, you may want to get a 4x8 switch now, which will leave you with 4 open ports for the future.

The Slimline looks at orbital slots 99, 101, 103, 110 and 119. Not sure where E* looks.
