I took a picture of the dish that I mentioned earlier in the thread. I didn't get out and measure but it looks bigger than 8 feet.

Go knock on the door and offer to remove it for free. Just make sure to mention you are not into metal scraping. I have done this in the past and people want a big, ridiculous price. I asked why so much for an old dish you don't even care about.(but in nicer words). The response was: I know what you are gonna do with it, take it and sell it for scrap and I want my piece of the pie.

Well for one, if that were my intention, I might get 2 bucks for it(people have this idea that scrap metal is big money)....and no, I am not going to scrap it I want to use it for a project at my house. A few moments later...
Well if that is the case you can have that old eye sore.

That's how I got my 10 footer. New owners of a house around the corner and the wife wanted it to go.

My 12 foot Paraclipse cost a dollar and I had to drive 90 miles one way for it. Owner just wanted to get rid of it and felt if he advertised it as free the scrappers would be after it.
