New Orleans HD locals and eastern arc

Is there a way to know when New Orleans HD locals will be on the eastern arc? We currently have Jackson, MS, locals but are wanting New Orleans. Thanks!

New Orleans is a western arc market according o E*. I wouldn't expect to see it on an eastern arc satellite any time soon, especially with the limited transponder space available.

There is no room currently on the 61.5 beam that covers New Orleans. They are available on 129 as of last week.

Funny that Texas has many locals on Eastern arc like my own -Beaumont dma , but the New Orleans way east of us is on the western arc. What a confusing way to do locals . I am sure the installers have fun trying to figure this all out.

It was all about where the beams were and Beaumont had one waiting for them. N.O. didn't.
