No real surprise here, this will be the first SuperBowl in New Orleans since 2003(and post Katrina).

Miami and Phoenix were the other cities to offer to host the game.

Yep... and the dome is in the best shape it's been in for some time due to the Katrina repairs. Let's hope they can keep all the petty crime under control, which has been hard since the storm.
