Here is the email I got yesterday about it.

Dear :

Sky Angel is dedicated to bringing you the best viewing experience possible. We've added some new features that will be included with a software upgrade that is being sent to your receiver this week.

This software upgrade will include the following enhancements:

Closed Captioning: With this release, Closed Captions will be available on all channels that provide captioning in their programming. No settings or configurations are necessary in the receiver, but to view the captions (where available), you will need to enable the option on your television to decode and display the captions. (Please consult your television's manual or manufacturer for assistance with this process.)


Previous Button: When not viewing video content, pressing the "PREV" button will play the most previously watched content. This works for live channels, 48-hour playback content, and On Demand programs.


Screensaver: The Screensaver feature will appear after four minutes only if you are on any menu selection screen or are listening to a radio channel. The Screensaver will not start while you are viewing any video content.


Sleep Mode: After four hours of uninterrupted television viewing, you will be prompted with a dialog window and will have to press "PLAY" to continue watching or the video will stop. This feature is optional and can be activated on the Advanced Configuration screen by pressing the "SETUP" button on your remote.


Attention TiVo users:

Since there is no option to disable the Screensaver function, any customer with their Sky Angel receiver idle at the channel listing screen will no longer be able to have TiVo automatically start playing the channel when a recording is scheduled to start.

If any live video channel is already playing, however, the TiVo channel change will function normally because the TiVo will simply be changing the live video programming [that prevents the Screensaver from activating] from one channel to another.

We are exploring options to disable the Screensaver function in future software updates.
