How do we force an update ?

Now I have to stay at home all day Thursday and Friday waiting for the download? This is ridiculous and inconvenient.
Sure you can. Unplug the Hopper and leave it unplugged when you're not actively using it.
Once it is in wide rollout (ie to everyone) if your Hopper does not have that software then it will grab it. Unplugging it will not stop your Hopper from getting updates.
What made you think you'd have to stay home to receive the update? Unless you were joking, right?
Myself, and I suspect others, would to know why you have to stay home.

Soon as you plug it in, you'd better tie up all (3) tuners and keep them tied up. The Hopper downloads updates around the clock, at anytime, not just during the nightly reboot.

At least one person did mention it, but I think that person is a Dish employee and may have gotten it a day or two early.
Ray should have included a comment along the lines of "There are most likely add'l fixes included but no details are given". People will be complaining that "they didn't fix this?" and "why didn't they fix that" !
