Im in the military and have a AFN decoder that works on the IntelSAT Galaxy 28 Sat. C-band. I'm trying to find out information on how to get service in the states without having to use a 4.5 meter dish as stated in on of their older manuals. Can anyone tell me if i can use a smaller( 3 ft.) dish to get a usable signal?

welcome :wave

I have a 6 foot dish and can pick up Pentagon (the only free channel in the group) but at a lower signal. I think this would be the minimum size to pick up AFN

I assume you have a subscription to the AFN mux? If all you needed is Pentagon Channel it is on a different satellite that can use a 3 foot dish (AMC1 103W)
