I have an 8300HD box to which I just connected an HDMI cable for the first time. I have it running through the input on my Sony receiver and then output to my Sony TV. I'm supposed to put the TV source on Video 7, but when I do that and set the receiver to HDMI 1, I don't get a picture on the TV. Anyone know whats up?

Try a direct connection to trouble shoot.
Does the TV get any signal on Source Video 7 from the 8300HD when the HDMI cable is connected directly and bypassing the Sony receiver?

Direct connection didn't work (but thanks for the idea), so I just downloaded the manual and will try to set up the box.
