I have a few questions if anyone can help. I did look at most of the posts to try and resolve my issues before posting a question. Here is my situation

I was thinking about switching form cable to D*, so I could get NFL TIcket. My grandmother is in a nursing home about 45miles away from my house. I was going to order the promotion they are currently running, have them install everything at my house(4 receivers and dish). Purchase a dish off of Ebay (not sure which ones work) and use one of the existing receivers in my house at the nursing home for her.

I did read in one post that you cannot keep the receiver "away" from your home for extended periods of time or D* will disconnect it I guess.

Any help on this situation would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
jason

exactly. :)
Do people do it? yes
Does Direct frown on this? yes

Actually, from the posts I have read, it seems that they condone it. If you call to change your service address but keep the same billing address, there are no questions asked.
