I'm new to all this. I am wondering if there is a Guide to FTA.
What I am looking for are Asian-Indian Television Channels.

Can someone tell me what satellites are FTA? Cause I am on lyngsat address and I see for Sony Entertainment Television

Satellites PAS 9
Galaxy 3C (DirecTV Brazil)

Does that mean, I can find the PAS 9 satellite and get the channel FREE?

Or for ZEE-TV
PAS 9
EchoStar 3 (DISH Network)
Nimiq 2 (ExpressVu)
Anik F2 (Star Choice)
EchoStar 9/Intelsat Americas 13 (DISH Network)
Intelsat Americas 7
EchoStar 1 (DISH Network)

Does that mean if I get INTEL SAT Americas 7 I can get it fore Free?

Just wondering how it works. Any and all help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When you pull up a satellite, check for these 2 items
the number in the left hand column..if its 4 digits, you need C-Band dish (6' or larger). The 5 digit ones are KU band, where a 30" dish will do :)

The light yellow ones are Free...they also have a "F" in the middle of the chart.

Thanks, im wondering if I can pickup Asian/EU Satellites also? Or is it that I can only pick up North American satellites? I live in NYC.

You can pick up loads of Asian and a few European channels, but most of their satellites are out of view from the US, there are not many people who are unhappy after getting a FTA system : )
