NEWBY - Getting the RIGHT Receiver?

I am about to sign up with D* for first time [on-line] I require HD and future 3D capabilities..........BUT in filling out my Order it says nothing about whether the [no model #] HD Receiver I order has 3D capabilities. I sure would like to know before I order so I don't have to replace the 1st receiver they send me???

If you order the whole home DVR, most likely you'll get the atleast and greatest HR24, but its not 100%. Other option is to buy one afterwards for $190, and add it yourself.

There's only one model of HD-DVR that won't do 3D (HR20), and it doesn't get deployed to new customers. So you'll be fine.

tks for replies - - - - I did not order a DVR model - only HD w/o DVR. I did add a note in my order to Installer: " Please bring a HD Model that is 3D capable" Hope that works and he brings the BEST they have at this time.
