I had my 622 replaced yesterday. I thought I would retire the ratty looking remote with the new one that came with the 722. For some reason, an amplifier code that I had programed in Aux of the old remote, won't take in the new one (no three flashes after hitting #). Both are 5.3. Any ideas as to what or why? This old one is really worn out!!!

EDIT: And yes, I'm entering 2 before the code.

You "new" 5.3 might actually be older production that the code was not programmed into, or it might be a defective remote.
I don't believe defective since the one that came with my other 722 would not take it as well. It's hard to fathom that 722 remotes would be older than those that came with the 622.

Little update, I thought I was cooking when I took a 6.3 and flipped the blue tab to black. It took the code. TV was working. Audio receiver working when I was facing it, but the IR extender I've been using all along did not. Frustrating. Back to the old 622 5.3 and all is well.
