I have a Coolsat 6000. I bought a package deal for the motor, dish & LNB.

The Dish is a Winegard, about three feet, the motor is a 1.2 and the LNB is a "dishnetwork/direct tv LNB" It must be true because all I can pick up is Dish Network. I tried to set it .79 to receive the most southern satellite with no luck, as a matter of fact I can only receive Dish Network.

Do I need another type of LNB and what seems to work the best??

If all else fails I have an eight foot mesh dish that I picked up and it will fit on the post that my FTA dish is on. Has anyone used an old c band dish with a BSC621 LNB for FTA.

I have a ten foot Winegard mesh dish with 4DTV and it works perfectly, just can't seem to get the small dish working properly

Any help thanks:confused:

You need a linear lnbf for the satellites "other than DSS sats" Most of the satellites we watch are linear polarization (horizontal / vertical) The pay-tv ones use circular, that's why you aren't getting anything else. Click on one of the sponsors at top--several of them can sell you a lnbf, they're not super expensive.

Thanks Turbosat. This thing was driving me crazy.

I ordered a Sadoun FTA LNBF. When it comes in I will give it another try,

. . . and the LNB is a "dishnetwork/direct tv LNB"
That must have been a packing mistake by the dealer.
Nobody in their right mind (not even a hacker) would use/sell a circular LNB with a 30..36" dish.
You might see if they'd like to send you the correct product.

Lots of folks have.
Search on the model number and/or look through the C-band/BUD section.
They get talked about all the time.
Ask, if you have specific questions.
