Fox u can stream via fox sports app using your DirecTV log in ..

I think cbs makes u pay for "all access " ...

And u mentioned football is your fav team local or out of market ??

Dish is not the best answer either because if u like other sports (nba ,mlb , nhl ) depending on your market, dish has dropped fox sports net

Yes, you would need CBS AA ....

As for Football ...mentioned games tomorrow (thats today now), no games are on CBS today, but soon.

I'm wondering, does CBS AA cover games ?

I really think DTV is going to wait out Nexstar until they cave. Both sides are hoping the other will fold during the start of football college/pro.

Nexstars position can only get better with football season coming.

But if it’s really that bad you can always move and subscribe to Sunday Ticket so the local team is no longer blacked out.

Our ABC affiliate is blocked out so it won't affect my NFL viewing.

CBS AA allows live streaming of your local channel, including all programming as far as I know. That said, the PQ wasn't particularly good when I checked it out.

As for Dish Network being the answer, who's to say that they will need to negotiate sometime in the future.
Exact dish is notoriously worse with. Channel negotiations

They just dropped FSN nationwide they still dont have HBO or MAX

40 miles for OTA isn't all that bad.

The Montreal towers are 62 miles from me and, with a little effort, some can be received here OTA. I lived about 50 miles from the main towers from Raleigh in NC and they were perfect. 40 miles is nothing. I am 19 miles from my true locals and they register high in the AM21 signal meter, however good that is. 80s and low 90s%, except 1 PBS that is behind a hill is 55% and 33 miles away.

Disclaimer: 40 miles is nothing, assuming you don't live in a market that uses mostly low-power affiliates. LP's could be a problem at 40 miles.

40 miles could be a problem if terrain is a factor, but if you live where it is flat 80+ miles might be no problem at all. The best way to tell what you should be able to receive is tvfool.com or a similar site.
