NHL All Access: The 2005 Entry Draft
All eyes are on phenom Sidney Crosby as NHL Network captures the thrilling moments of the NHL Entry Draft and NHL Draft Lottery with NHL All Access: The 2005 Entry Draft, airing Saturday, Oct. 1 at 10 p.m. ET. Produced by NHL Productions, this 90-minute special takes viewers behind the scenes with exclusive footage leading up to and including the 2005 Entry Draft.

Before Crosby's future NHL home can be decided, the NHL prospects go through the rigors of the NHL combine with strength, endurance and agility testing. The combine also gives each team's upper management the opportunity to meet the players for light-hearted, background interviews. Cameras then follow Crosby home to Cole Harbour, NS, where he and his family await the results of the NHL's first-ever draft lottery. The intensity builds with every envelope opened by NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, until the Pittsburgh Penguins are revealed as the winners in the Crosby sweepstakes. Cameras catch Pittsburgh staff revelling in the results, while a phone call is placed to Penguins owner and player Mario Lemieux.

The entertainment continues as viewers are then treated to a backstage pass at the NHL Entry Draft with Crosby, Jack Johnson, Benoit Pouliot and other top prospects. NHL All Access tags along with Crosby's childhood friend Johnson, as well as Pouliot, as they experience the tense moments until their name is called, followed by the relief and gratification afterwards. On the draft floor, NHL All Access provides exclusive sound bites from some of the league's top executives including Anaheim's Brian Burke, Edmonton's Kevin Lowe and Crosby's new boss, Pittsburgh's Ken Sawyer.

Blast it! I thought "available to all digital cable and satellite subscribers" meant all, not just Canada.

Oh well. Thanks for the info, Iceberg!
