At least the gods at the NHL got it right this time and gave HNIC the respect it deserves with the 7:00 game
(last year one week the only CBC game was at 2:00 and that was to accomodate NBC)

Playoffs Begin On Wednesday San Jose Sharks Staff Apr 6, 2008, 11:27 PM EDT The National Hockey League announced today that the San Jose Sharks first-round playoff series against the Calgary Flames will begin on Wednesday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m. PST at HP Pavilion. Calgary became the opponent when the Colorado Avalanche defeated the Minnesota Wild on Sunday. San Jose will be the second seed in the Western Conference and the Flames will be the seventh seed.

All San Jose Sharks playoff games will be televised on Comcast Sportsnet Bay Area. Fans can also listen to the games on the 98.5 KFOX (KUFX-FM) and the San Jose Sharks Radio Network (the Sharks pre-game show will air live in its entirety on KFOX starting ½ hour before every game).

Practices at Sharks Ice during the playoffs will be CLOSED TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

Dallas Stars - News: Stars Announce 1st Round Playoff Schedule - 04/06/2008

DALLAS STARS ANNOUNCE
FIRST ROUND PLAYOFF SCHEDULE
VERSUS ANAHEIM DUCKS

FRISCO, Tex. – The Dallas Stars announced tonight the official playoff schedule for the club’s 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs Western Conference Quarterfinals match-up with the Anaheim Ducks. The Stars are the number five seed in the Western Conference while the Ducks are the number four seed. The series will start in Anaheim and be best of seven games, played in a 2-2-1-1-1- format.

Game One of the series is this Thursday, April 10 in Anaheim with a 9 pm face-off (Dallas time - CDT). Game Two is slated for Saturday, April 12 in Anaheim with a 9 pm (CDT) start time.

The series will shift to Dallas for Games Three and Four. Game Three (Dallas’ first home game) will be on Tuesday, April 15, at 7:30 pm. Game Four will be played at American Airlines Center on Thursday, April 17, at 7 pm.

Game Five (if necessary) will be played in Anaheim on Friday, April 18 (9:30 pm CDT), with Game Six back in Dallas on Sunday, April 20 (time TBD). If a deciding Game Seven is played, it will be in Anaheim on Tuesday, April 22 (time TBD).

All playoff games for the Dallas Stars will be televised in the DFW Metroplex. All Dallas Stars playoff games can be heard via radio on News/Talk 820 WBAP.

TSN : NHL - Canada's Sports Leader
TSN today announced its complete broadcast schedule for the First Round of the 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs featuring a total of 29 scheduled games. All games on TSN will be in High Definition.

Coverage gets underway on April 9, opening night of the Playoffs, with a doubleheader. Beginning at 7 p.m. ET, Chris Cuthbert and Glenn Healy will call Game 1: NY Rangers @ New Jersey, immediately followed by Game 1: Colorado @ Minnesota with the broadcast team of Gord Miller and Pierre McGuire (see broadcast schedule below).

TSN has exclusive Canadian coverage of three entire series throughout the First Round: Washington/Philadelphia, New Jersey/NY Rangers and Anaheim/Dallas. In addition, TSN will televise five games from the Minnesota/Colorado series and the first three games from the Detroit/Nashville Series.

TSN's two broadcast teams of Miller/McGuire and Cuthbert/Healy will bring viewers all the action from the NHL Playoffs. TSN will use its popular 'One Up/One Down' broadcasting format at every available opportunity, with the play-by-play announcer in the broadcast booth and the game analyst at ice level.

In the TSN Studios for pre-games and intermissions will be host James Duthie, Hockey Insiders Bob McKenzie and Darren Dreger, and analysts Dave Hodge, Mike Milbury and Darren Pang. Canada's favourite crab-eating macaque, Maggie the Monkey, will be back to use her 'highly scientific' method of spinning a wheel to predict the playoff winners.

Tonight, TSN gets viewers primed for the post-season with a three-hour blockbuster lineup of Playoff Preview coverage, beginning at 7 p.m. ET with McGuire's Monsters, followed by the Fantasy Draft Special at 7:30 p.m. ET. At 8 p.m. ET is the Scotiabank NHL Draft Lottery Special, in which NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly will reveal the results. And at 8:30 p.m. ET, it's the 90-minute NHL on TSN Playoff Preview Special, with in-depth analysis of each playoff series.

The Minnesota Wild will host a Pre-Game Rally from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Rice Park in downtown St. Paul prior to Game 1 on Wednesday and Game 2 on Friday. The rally will include live music, food and beverage and the latest Wild Stanley Cup Playoff merchandise. Kids can get their playoff beard painted on.

the only game this affects the Twins is game 2 on the 11th. On the 15th the Twins are in Detroit and start at 6 so they'll go from the Twins game to the Wild game and the 19th the Twins are the Big Fox game of the week
 
The Anaheim Ducks announced today their television and radio broadcast schedule for the Western Conference Quarterfinal Series between the Ducks (#4 seed) and Dallas Stars (#5 seed). All playoff game coverage on FSN PRIME TICKET for Ducks home games include pre- and post-game "Ducks Live" shows. Games will also be carried live by Anaheim Ducks radio flagship KLAA AM 830 and by KTLK AM 1150. Games 1, 3, 6 and 7 will be heard on AM 830 while Games 2, 4 and 5 will be broadcast on AM 1150.
