They will build one when the Cubs win the World Series. So, they will never get a new stadium.
They will not be building a new stadium solely because their mouthy pitcher wants a new one.
Someday I'd imagine Wrigley will be replaced, but like the article says, fans love historic Wrigley and it continues to draw record crowds. I'd rather see minor improvements and renovations and keep the original structure in place.
Look at what they did to Fenway Park. Even I was shocked.
True, but I STILL say we need a new ballpark.
I grew up going to Fenway and I'm as sentimental as they come, BUT the time has come!
I've seen some of the newer ballparks in person, and of course have seen them all on TV.
I envy the Baltimores, Clevelands, San Franciscos, Pittsburghs (my personal favorite of the new wave of ballparks), etc. I want one of those in Boston- preferably on the waterfront.

I will be very sad if Wrigley or Fenway ever close.....
I'm still thinking about getting a ticket for the Indians/Cubs series in Wrigley this year. I've got to go see a game at that place before it's too late.
I like it too, much better than Three rivers stadium.
Of course there is no list of sporting events I want to attend after I die.
