Follow-up...after a little more investigating I discovered if I set the Audio Output to "PCM" (vs. "Dolby Digital/PCM") the audio is present on those channels. Some notes: I have a 612 receiver and am using the optical audio out (in conjunction with HDMI for video). The HDMi is connected directly to my TV and the optical (Toslink) cable to my Denon 988 AVR. Of interest is the audio over my TV (which is typically set to zero volume) is ok with those impacted channels via HDMI.
So, for some reason with my 612's audio output set to "Dolby Digital/PCM" those noted channels are not being interpreted by my receiver over the optical cable. Every other channel is ok.
Any thoughts as to what is going on? If this needs to be moved to the technical forum, please move it over there.
Thanks.
