I currently have Dish and I am thinking of switching to DirecTV since I cannot get any signal form Dish's HD Sat in my current apartment. From quickly reading these forums it looks like for HD DirecTV you either need the Slimline 3 or 5 LNB?

I live in Southern California (Riverside) and would be looking to get the L.A. locals, and the SD and HD channels for probably either the 'choice extra' or 'premier' package.

Anyway, if anyone can help with which sats I will need it would be greatly appreciated. Once I know that I can look up the Azimuth for each of them on dish pointer and see if DirecTV is an option.

Also, is there a site that lists which DirecTV channels are on each sat?

Thanks in advance, Eric

Go to HD - LyngSat HD There is a fairly complete listing there. You should only need the Slimline 3, which sees 99, 101, and 103. Good luck!

Thanks a bunch Raoul, I found that site from some other post before I saw yours and found that my locals were on the the main SD Sat. But I really appreciate you confirming it for me.
