OFFICIAL Dish Network ViP 622/722 L510 Release Notes

There appears to be a major issue with this release when trying to watch buffered HD-LIL channels. See this thread -

People need to report, report, report if they're having this problem. It doesn't hurt to list the stations also. They may be able to narrow it down to compatibility with certain piece(s) of equipment being used at those stations.

I don't have a phone line connected to my 722, nor do I have a phone period. Upon startup, I always get the dishcomm screen. I use the guide/cancel to clear it. Is there any way to get rid of it, without connecting a line??

I have L510 on one of my 622's, and don't see this.

Is there a preference or was it dropped at the last moment?

I looked EVERYWHERE and don't see it

Your external drive has to be connected and turned on and you also have to have "Groups" turned on.

Tried that, and no joy, unless I missed it. I'll look again after that box gets finished shuffling some more recordings out to it.

Once you turn it on you have to exit the DVR menu and go back in, you should see it then.

Now if they would only do grouping in the external drive. It is rediculous when you have several hundred recordings of series all mixed together.

This must be a slow roll out because I'm still not showing this release L510 yet as of Saturday.

It's only going to a limited batch of receivers (based on serial number) last I checked. Do you get HD Locals via satellite ? If so, you may NOT want this update.

No, hall. I get all my locals via OTA antenna. But, thanks for the info on the limited release. It will save me the effort of having to dink around today with reboots etc.

I reported the issue this morning to tech support and they calim there are no reported issues with L5.10

That just means that the problem is not yet in their Phone Representative computer database.

I was able to move my recordings to my EHD and they work fine on the 622 without the update.

My 622 got the update the day before yesterday. My 722 still hasn't. I have both HD Sat locals and OTA HD locals. No problems to report in my circumstance.

Record something from your local CBS or NBC from the satellite-feed, not the OTA feed. Then try and watch it.
