I saw that yesterday. It isn't a bad knee surgery at all.

Manning will be fine by the time that the season rolls around.
He's not the type of guy that purposely schedules surgeries so he can get out of camp, that means that this must have happened recently, not during the season.

I have had plenty of knee injuries, fortunately none required surgery yet, thay have been where healing was the better option.

When you have a knee injury, if it's painful enough, you go get it looked at right away, they are very difficult to deal with.

I remember when he had this problem at UT and he was fine right afterwards. My guess is he will be back in action at the low end of the scheduled time frame (4 weeks or so) and will be back close to 100% by the time the regular season opens.

He normally plays about 10 snaps in the pre season anyways, so it's not like he's missing important stuff here... The Offense is the same as always, the timing may be off for a little bit with receivers in the beginning, thou you don't see him participating in the pre season games, I bet he does participate in practices in the preseason.

I know this isn't the Farve thread, but, how long will it be that a Starting QB goes down early in the year and someone takes a shot at Farve ?
