Hey All!

I am working on a project involving some legacy Scientific Atlanta headed hear. On some modulators I see a port for SMC Bus. Does anyone know what that was for?

SMC (Status Monitoring and Control)
The SMC bus allows complete remote control operation of all application module functions and chassis level
functions managed by the controller module. Interface is via two RJ-14 style jacks on the controller that are
designed for loop-through cabling. This feature allows daisy-chaining of multiple SMC equipped units.

Thank you. I was digging into an old Scientific Atlanta D9560 modulator and saw the odd SMC Bus port and the data/clock in/out ports and was curious how I would daisy chain 2 together.
