Old tv

Sorry if this has neen discussed previously we just acquired a polaroid Tv... Model Txl04240B. We hooked it up by HDMI in the HDMI 1 slot. TV is set to HDMI1. Dish remote works on TV... no errors such as no signal appeatr just nothingness? Any suggestions?

Try a different port. Does it have component or composite ports?

Do you know for sure it was previously working?

I got rid of a Polaroid TV last year that died after a power outage. Great picture but was a space heater. They are pretty long in the tooth by now. Probably end of life.

Do you have a Blu-Ray player or other alternate HDMI source to test the HDMI on the TV?

Yes it was working on antenna, yes it's old and my hubby got it for free... and no we don't have anything else hooked up with all the channels I watch what I want on satellite... so he can put it in his man cave and use the antenna

Try different inputs or hooking it up via standard definition.

Tv might be too Old for digital copy protection from hdmi. I would think they're be a pop up if that were the case.

I just remembered the HDMI didn't work on my Polaroid either but it had a vga port so I bought an HDMI to vga converter, problem solved. I'm starting to think you guys got my old TV, lol.
