I have a single line routed in a finished basement. No way to add an additional without tearing up the walls. Is there a way to split that line without running an additional? Need help.

It depends what you want to due with it after the split. Hook up two receivers should work, hook up one DVR with two inputs won't work.

That goes against what I understood. Two receivers are the same as a DVR with 2 inputs. Each needs a separate line from the dish or the multiswitch.

No, you can't split the line, it won't work, you'll need to run another cable. The only other option is a stacker/destacker system which will cost you around $300.

Depending on what you're trying to do, you might be able to go wireless. I use several "leapfrog" microwave xmitters/rcvrs to move some RF signals around my house. The units I use each have 4 discrete frequencies so they don't interfere with each other. I can feed the input of each xmitter with a composite video/2-ch audio signal and receive the same signal bach at several locations...
