one more chicago local ouestion

On the 101 bird on transponer 18 i get a 99 reading and on the 26 i get a 82 reading. Does this mean i can pick these channels up even though i am not in the Chicago area? Jeff

No. Those transponders are spot beams that are concentrated on a certain area.

Um, it depends on how far you are from chicago, the beams sometimes extend out for as much as 500 miles.
