Only 4 receivers

How come dish will only allow you to have four receivers?

You can have more; they will just not lease you more than four. They probably consider it not a good business case to provide more receivers for the single programming package price. I only lease one; have bought the others.

E-Bay is usually a good source. Just make sure you get the following information from the seller before posting a bid.

Has the receiver been released from their Dish Network Account
What are the numbers on the Smart Card and what is the Receiver ID
Ensure there is no balance (Pay Per Views) pending on the smart card

With the card and receiver numbers, call Dish and make sure there is no outstanding balance. If there is, they won't activate the receiver on your account until the outstanding balance is paid.

You may also just verify the unit is in proper working order.

If you need more than 6 they will let you do it but you have to pay another account.....ie say u have top60 with locals well that is 34.99 + 5x4.99 for one account....so if you need seven....that is the above plus another 34.99.....if you go with one or two dual tuners hooked to phone lines you can avoid this. Just make sure they are all in the same house, because you WILL GET AUDITED.

If you want new receivers, I recommend dishstore or dishdepot. With either of them you will have no problems.

Wrong....They can and do put more than six receivers on an account (I have 8 on one)

They normally allow 6 receivers on a residential account. They can be single or dual tuner receivers.
