Onn 4k streaming stick problem

Not super heavy in the latest tech. I bought an Onn 4k streaming stick just for testing. I was looking for something more compatable with youtube TV. Wanted a simple way to tune channels. I have an older Yamaha AVR (about 9 years old)and an even older Panasonic TV. In doing the setup I found that the remote will only power on one device, either TV or amp, not two like my Firestick. Also the remote volume would only increase in small steps, not continus adjustment like my Firestick. This is not what I expected from the latest device. Perhaps my older equipment present a problem. Anyway, returned it for now and will do more reserch.
