Opt out of Two year Contract

Last year when i signed up with Dish, i was able to pay $50 to opt out of signing or committing to a 12 month or 24 month contract. If you signed up, they would waive the $50 fee. Do they still offer this? I am just looking for a way to remain contract free. Currently i am not under contract with Dish, but when i wanted to upgrade my 211 for a 612, they told me i had to agree to a 2 year contract.

I know they still do the opt out thing, but I think it's only for new subs---you may be able to upgrade, w/o a contract by paying them something, but I'm not sure...

They'll probably make you pay for the receiver + the install (if needed)

Dish has to make some money off of you somehow. . .
