I never heard of them until your post. The online reviews look good. I would have a problem buying speakers without listening to them first. Also, they look weird, not that it really matters, but I have never seen anything like them.

I agree totally with Raol. I only see a couple of reviews, and Home Theater Magazine will like anyone who pays them enough.

They claim a 30 day home trial. If it is legit, this would be a good way to evaluate them. Bring home another set of comparable priced speakers on evaluation as well.

I've been reading about Orb for a few years. It's always been good. I can't recall reading a bad report on them, though I don't personally know anyone who actually purchased any their speakers. Nor have I had the pleasure of hearing them for myself. If you DO purchase a set of Orb speakers, please let us know how they sound.
