Ordering the 622??

I ordered my dish 622 receiver a few days ago but when I ordered no one said anything about the receiver being shipped to me? I'm under the assumption that the receiver will be with the technician that comes to do the install. Was I wrong to assume this? Does the receiver actually get shipped to me? If so why wouldn't dish network have said this to me at time of order? Thanks for any help!

Dish stopped shipping ViP622s direct to the customer as of June 9. They are now delivered by the installer.

not true-i just received 622 receiver in mail yesterday . installer coming sunday

I think it depends on your Region. Some Installs have them in stock. Most dont. If they dont Dish drop ships then 2nd day delivery, so watch for it, you wont know its coming.
