OTA at 60-65 Miles Away

Do any of you all know of a good OTA antenna, UHF, for up to or a little over 60 miles away. My DMA is Roanoke/ Lynchburg, and I'd liek to get CBS which is broadcasting at full power at i think in the 500 kw area. The DMA that I am trying for is Raleigh/Durham DMA, because their FOX does HD now, and they are broadcasting at 1000 kw making it easier for me to recieve them. Are any of you all as far away as I, and if so which antenna do you use.

Currently I am looking at that Channel Master 4228a.

Another antenna to consider is the Winegard HD9095P (http://www.winegard.com/offair/pdf/hd9095p.pdf). With either antenna, you will also need a low noise pre-amp (I recommend the Channel Master 7775, which is UHF only), and you will need to get the antenna as high as possible.

Forget RatShack products for this distance.

I would first call the station engineers and ask them if you are in the "Grade B contour of their digital signal". If the answer is no, put away your wallet.

If the answer is yes, go for separate, not combo, VHF + UHF antenna from Winegard or Channel Master with booster (only if you need it) from Channel Master or even better from Blonder-Tongue

NO, do not but that Radio Shack model; buy that Winegard, it is a directional UHF for frindge areas. Depending on your orientation you may need more than one.

well i got the channelmaster 4228 and it is inside right now. I am getting my CBS station fine and the others are at 49-56%. When i get it outside, though, with a clear line of sight I should recieve the others just fine.

I just got my preamp and wow. I get all the networks now. They look great especailly football in HD.
