I recently canceled my locals. I lost guide data on the main channels but kept it on the sub channels. I called Dish tech support. They said they would send it to engineering. I’m in the Providence DMA but also get the Boston channels by OTA. The interesting thing is I get all the guide information for the Boston channels but not for the Providence channels. Any suggestions? I use TitanTV for the data. Thanks.

That was exactly my symptom on Washington D.C. PBS station WETA. This went on for over a year before Dish added back 26.0, and voila, 26.1 guide shows up again. (I do not subscribe to satellite-delivered locals so I can't actually tune to 26.,0.) 26.2, 3, and 4 have retained their guide throughout that mess.

Try to unplug your receiver, try connecting the OTA antena directly to the TV, some chanels dont have OTA Guide information to begin with.

I have also connected to the tv. I get guide data. When I had the locals from dish I had guide data. When I canceled to save 12 bucks I lost guide data on all but one channel. I get guide data from out of market Boston channels that I never had through Dish. I have a Hopper 3 with an AirTV dual tuner adapter.

Same as me. When I first got it, WETA was as I described above. But while I wasn't looking, sometime late late year, all of a sudden 26.0 appeared with data and 26.1 also regained data, just as I had when I subbed to satellite locals. So, what I'm saying is that there is hope. Maybe not much considering how slow Dish is to add guide data to locals. But some. I'm going to PM the tech support specialist who worked with me for a couple of weeks and tell him he has another case with the same symptoms.

Thanks! I guess I will just have to be patient!

Boy was I wrong! I haven't made such a big blunder in a long time. It turns out that WETA channel 26.0 reappeared because my satellite-delivered locals reappeared on my account! Once I looked in detail at my bill, sure enough. I have been paying for locals all this time. :crying So, I removed satellite delivered locals again and 26.0 disappeared again. But so did my guide data for 26.1. This sucks. Why can't Dish fix the guide data for the main and only HD channel on my local PBS affiliate? The subchannel guide data are all there.

I’m still without guide data on three of my locals but about a month ago guide data showed up on my local fox channel. There is still hope they fix this!

Here, we have translators and I do not get the OTA guide on several channels. I just have to find another way.
2.1 KATU ABC Guide
2.2 METV Guide
2.3 Comet No Guide (Guide #289)
2.4 Stadium No Guide
6.1 KOIN CBS Guide
6.2 Get TV Guide
6.3 Decades Guide
10.1 KOPB PBS Guide
10.2 KOPB+ Guide
10.3 PBS Kids Guide
10.4 PBS Radio No Guide
12.1 KPTV Fox No Guide
49.1 KPDX MyTV No Guide

I use TitanTV app on my iPad. It has all the guide data I need. I created a custom lineup. All the guide data missing from dish is there. Also, the tuner in my tv provides data but I can’t record from it.

I have a small outboard HD Tuner that use a thumb drive. The guide on that goes out 18-24 hours, but it is clunky to use.

I just checked my guide and ALL my OTA guide data is there! Even for most sub channels! Don’t know what happened but I’m happy. Only thing that changed was a new software update for my Hopper 3. TheKrell, hope it works out for you too!

I'm at work so I checked on Dishanywhere.com. No change. :crying WETA channel 26.1 has no guide data, even though the WETA subchannels do. I tried to record When Whales Walked on Tuesday night off WMPT channel 22 (out of Annapolis) instead, but alas it had too much breakup to be viewable. I don't know if I can view the software version from here, but I think that unlikely to fix this guide issue. But it's possible. My favorite Dish technician, who has worked on this off and on for months, at one point said a firmware update might fix it. That was back in my 722/612 days. Other people tried to tell me that a H3 upgrade might fix it. That didn't help either.

I was away this morning and used dishanywhere on my iPad. No guide data for my OTA locals but when I got home I checked and all the data was there. Hopefully the data will be there for you when you get home.

Unfortunately my WETA guide data is still missing. But I'm also still at 535, so maybe there is hope for me yet.
