OTA Module Problem

So, I received my free OTA module from Dish yesterday. I installed it today, with no problems, until I went to switch channels - it locked up my receiver and the only thing I could do is restart it by unplugging it. :(

I have read about other problems with this module, but couldn't find any where someone said it was locking up their receiver. Anyone else having this issue? I wonder if I should even bother getting it replaced. I've really just about had all I can take for awhile with Dish's equipment of late. There has been one guy said that he has had a similar problem in the past. I can't remember his name though. And we pretty much decided he might have had power supply problems.

My first MT2 (re-manufactured did that), never would work without locking the box up. Got a 2nd re-manufactured and it works fine. I think whoever is doing the refurbs is doing a pissy job ;)

Power supply on the receiver?
yes & no. He had gone thru something like 3 receivers and modules. That's why it's a bit hard to remember the all the details. Made some of us tend to think there was problem w/power in the house and when the modules was put it it would pull to much from the receiver and die. It was complicated so hard to say exactly what was wrong.

I tell ya what, ive been using a UPS of some sort for 5 years now, and been lucky enough to not have failures. Also nice they can keep recording when the power is out ;)
