Hi, I bought a HDS220R on ebay without an access card to use as an OTA receiver. The receiver matches physically (front and back) exactly with the Hughes E86 (going by pictures in the manual.) When I opened up the receiver, I even noticed some of the hardware boards marked as Hughes E86, so it is most likely the same unit.
However, when I turn on the unit, I see no option in the menu for OTA/ATSC. Am I missing something or did I buy a non-OTA tuner? Is there someway to tell?
Btw, I have no access card or remote (I'm using only the buttons on the tuner) in case that makes any difference.
