OTA TO CABLE

Just curious, how do cable tv companies receive local OTA channels? BY underground cable or antenna?

depends on the cable company
most of your larger companies get them via fibre

smaller ones probably get them OTA. Hate to say it but some real podunk ones I've seen them use Dish or Directv receivers to broadcast them (when it rains real hard you'll get the "acquiring signal" screen)
