ota using phillips 5353 receiver

I do not subscribe to direct nor plan to, want to gain access to ota hd channels. I have a new phillips 5353 receiver with card (whatever that means) I have tried every hookup possible to get it to work but it never finds the ota hd channels. I saw in some website that it has a atsc tuner.

Sorry but I believe you are missinformed, there is no ATSC tuner built into 5353. Just invest in a digital converter box.
