This is a link to nola.com wich is a new orleans specific website thats still up and running. Click on the forums + chat link and go to the hurricane links in the middle of the page. One link is for posting if you have the ability to provide shelter at your home for anyone that has been displaced from the flood waters. Another link will allow you to look for info on anyone that may have posted theyr condition if you have family or friends living in that area. There is a missing persons link, a volunteer link, your neighborhood link, and a 24/7 link.

Here is a link to the forums and chat page also, if you have the ability to offer a room or even a spare home such as a vacation or weekend get away then post this info on the housing link.

Another orginization that will need some donation help with be the humane society as well as the houston are sbca in helping rescued pets and live stock.
